2025
I wonder if sunday met monday
if they would get along
or argue over who
gets the most rest
I wonder if tuesday gets jealous
of wednesday and their extensions
that grace the next day
I wonder if thursday wishes
for the rest of friday
for more hours or
the rest of the day off
I wonder if the days get along
helping each moment for the next
read by the same sun and moon
Goldilocks’ Bath
2025
plastic toys buoy in the tub
birthmarks amuse your sisters
mom fills another cup
spilling soapy suds
that cristen your crown
with luke warm streams
fragrant pressed powder
melts into a glistening mirror
soaking and scrubbing
your sores and scabs
melody sweating the melancholy
into the steaming tub of toil
bleach filled air
dim candle in the corner
a familiar film to calm my mind
already rinsed i can rest
take my seat
into the water just right
Dear Dora,
2025
Thank you for your correspondence over the years.
With your help,
I’ve found my way quite a few times.
I discovered trails and trinkets
stamped with sacredness
sealed away from sneaky swiper.
Tell me Dora,
Do you know where the castle lies?
Where life comes easy
and chocolate replenishes?
I think i got lost along my way,
distraced by the swalling green.
I appreciate any guidance.
Maybe even a map.
I miss being in your company.
I all I have left here are these boots
and a backpack.

frito crumbs litter the cracks
between the chair and console
mixed in with friday’s bobby pins
and wednesday’s ez-pass
no doubt’s sunday morning
a pre-mass ritual
secured by a seatbelt
unfastened by a daydream
wandering between past and present
from tacobell tuesdays
to out west towards walmart
I let the breeze of monday
remind me to be present
it is saturday and I’m on my way to jersey
after of semester of snow and strain
moshi, my 2015 ford escape
carries my corpse home
Toad2024
there once was a kitten.
to salami, she was smitten.
following trails of scraps, always wary of traps
never once daring closer,
to the door that was her grocer.
until a shelter was gifted.
her weight suddenly lifted.
the kitten’s name was toad.
and with frog, she never froze.
no bait, he rest assured.
just the hope to hold,
and a dream to unfold.
to feel at ease enough to roam
and to safely wander her way home.
